Yanni: Live at El Morro ! Countdown Begins..

On December 16th and 17th, 2011, Yanni fulfilled a 20 year old dream to perform at the beautiful and historic 16th-century Castillo San Felipe Del Morro in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This once in a lifetime event features many of Yanni's classic hits, as well as several new pieces. Yanni's 10th PBS (US Television) special continues his tradition of spectacular productions spotlighting historical world monuments. The Castillo de San Felipe del Morro, better known as El Morro, is a 16th century citadel located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Accompanied by his world renowned 15 piece orchestra, the show will feature the first televised performance of songs from his new album "Truth of Touch" as well as a new orchestration of the song "Nightingale."

"I want to remind people of their potential for greatness," Yanni says. "I want to inspire as well as to entertain."

-Yanni has had global sales of over 20 million albums, resulting in more than 35 Gold and Platinum album awards

-The Tribute album reached platinum status in the U.S. within five weeks of its release, and has surpassed double platinum status ( 2.5 million copies sold). The video has surpassed double platinum status.

-Reflections of Passion (1990) went double platinum in the U.S. and stayed at the top of Billboard's Adult Alternative Chart for a record-breaking 47 consecutive weeks.

-Sold out ten consecutive concert dates at Radio City Hall, New York.

-Sold out five concert shows at Mexico's Auditorio Nacionale.

-Yanni became the number one selling western artist in India, reaching platinum status following the airing of the Acropolis video.

-His compositions have been included in all Olympic Games television broadcasts since 1988 and his music was featured during the opening ceremonies of the 1996 Summer Olympics, the 1998 Winter Games and the 2002 Winter Games. Additionally, he composed "Fanfare" for the World Cup 2002 soccer tournament in Seoul, Korea .

-His more recent tour, Yanni Voices: Live in Concert, in 2009 was a big success. Touring all over North America with sold out shows including Radio City Music Hall and full houses throughout Mexico.
